Lilith found Laurent raiding the fridge, eating almost everything he could find. “What a pig.” she mumbled. He turned around and nodded, “Why yes, yes I am.” He chuckled quietly and sat down at the round wooden table. Lilith sat down too, and fixed her eyes on him. “So when do I have to leave?” she expected him to be a bit surprised that she found out, but he just kept on eating calmly. He titled his head up and looked at her. “In a few minutes actually. A car will be here to pick you up and take you to your godmothers. You should go say goodbye to everyone.” Those words punched a whole right in Lilith’s chest… so it was true. She was leaving the coven. Her only family. The ones who saved her and introduced her to a new world. “But… why do I have to go?” She was on the verge of crying, but held it in. Letting Laurent see her so weak was not something she was going to allow. Laurent sighed and looked away. “Your useless. You don’t work. You don’t help out. You just play around with Skryl. This coven is run on a tight ship. Don’t take it personally; it’s just the way things are. Now, go say your goodbyes, and get out.” Lilith slowly rose out of the chair, and walked out of the kitchen. She walked down the long dark hallway, holding it all in. Her lip began to quiver, so she bit down fiercely on it, daring it not to move. She went into the dining hall, where everyone was sitting around making jokes. They turned to look at her when she walked in. Slowly, she made her way to the middle of the room, and spoke in a soft voice. “Im leaving the coven. The elders have thought it over and made the decision to send me to a higher person to watch over me.” Everyone was speechless… no words were spoken, no crying, no sound… A few minutes later Skryl spoke up. “But…how….why….. You can’t leave!” “Yeah! He’s right!!” Mikey joined in. Lilith let her head fall in shame.. “I don’t have a choice. But you guys can visit me!! Whenever you’re around my godmothers! She has a huge mansion! You can stay with me sometimes!! Wont you?” They all said, “Of course!” at the same time. Suddenly Lilith was showered with hugs and kisses on her cheek, a huge bear hug from Mikey, and a meaningful kiss on her forehead from Skryl. Laurent was standing by the doorway the whole time. He clapped his hands to get their attention. “Its time for Lilith to go.” Slowly she pulled away from their embraces, biting down on her lip so it would cease to quiver. A hurting sensation began to build inside her stomach, rising and burning her throat. Laurent grabbed her by the arm and escorted her to the front door. On her way she could hear faint crying behind her, but she never turned to look back. Outside of the building was a long sleek black car, with a guy in a suit holding the back door open. “Im sorry for this… I really am…” Laurent’s words meant nothing to her now. He had already hurt her far too much. She had always looked up to him as a father figure. Helping her, training her, doing stupid things with her. But now, he meant nothing to her.. She yanked her arm away from him and got into the car. “Your bags and stuff are already waiting for you at your Godmothers. Tell her I said hello.” That was the last thing said. The guy in the suit shut the door and cranked the car. Pulling from the curb, she took one last look. She could see the gang staring through a window…. It hurt so much to leave them. She felt as if she was deceiving everyone… but maybe change was good. Also she was a bit excited to see Grams. She had missed her so much. “It’s going to take 8 hours until we get to our destination. I brought along a small pillow and blanket. Thought you might like a nap.” Lilith looked under her seat, and like the guy said, there was a small black pillow and black blanket folded up. To think of it, she was a bit sleepy, so she laid down on the crunched seat, stuffed the pillow under her head but left the blanket, and shut her eyes, dreading the long trip ahead.

‘In a world full of hate and agony, how are angels supposed to survive? When love has demolished their own souls, leaving them to face the bitter winds at enemies’ gates. An Angel of this world has no dreams. No hope. Nothing to look forward too. So what’s the point in living? It’s knowing that you’re still alive. Even if your not wanted in the heavens, or requested in the hallows, you can still live just to prove your worthy. For your creators, they have no fear of your existence. They made you a monster. People look down on you, as an abomination. A threat. Yet you’re too coward to prove them wrong. So tell me, When an angel has nothing to live for….. Why was he an angel in the first place…’ Draco closed his journal, and set it on the windowsill. Jotting down his darkest thoughts was something he has done since he was transformed. He rolled his shoulders and rubbed his collarbone lightly. “Ah, Its been a while since I fully stretched…” He rose to his feat, crawled out the window, steadying himself on the brick roof. His shirt was already off. Bending his back slightly, he threw his arms out, and flung off the building. Faster and faster he sped down to the ground. Grinning all the way. About a few inches before he slammed into the dirt, a strong force pulled him up. His body lunged into the midnight sky, dancing in the moonlight. From his back, was a set of beautiful black feathery wings. When fully stretched out, he looked like an Angel. But he knew that “angel” wasn’t the best choice of a name for him. He took off east, bolting like lightning in the sky, soaring and swooping, diving and gliding.. To him, this was freedom. He spotted an empty pasture and flew down. When he landed, he plopped himself onto the thick green grass and stared at the sky. His wings were fully spread out, showing how great of a wingspan he had. Above him, thousands of twinkling lights scattered throughout the darkness. “Such beauty….” He whispered. Not paying attention he closed his eyes, and let his mind drift off…

Everything was in a fiery blaze, with thickening fog choking Lilith’s lungs. She ran towards the door but was cut off by more flaming demons. Trapped in a circle with no way out, she began to cry. Suddenly a tall black winged man saved her from death!! Higher and higher they fly into the air, with orange ambers chasing after them. Circling around trees, dodging cars and street lights, bolting from the burning house. They landed near a red waterfall. The stream looked like pure blood flowing through veins. Her savior held her in his arms tight, whispering softly… “Miss… wake up…” she couldn’t understand what he was saying, she was too busy gazing at his pale creamy skin and bright green eyes. “Miss…” He said again in such a sweet voice. She reached up to pull his lips to hers, and as his cold skin brushed against her warm waiting lips he picked her up and…. “MISS!!” “Gahhh!!” Lilith jumped in the backseat. Breathing heavily, she looked at the frightened driver. “Im sorry to wake you miss, but we’re at the destination.” She scooted over to her window, and there it was. The four-story red brick antique mansion. Covered in ancient plants and vines. Smack dab in the middle of nowhere. “Wow…. we’re already here?” The driver pulled her door open, and a burst of cold biting wind flew in her face. “Sheesh. Why’s it so cold?” The question was for the driver, but was answered by an older woman. “It’s a mystery. No one really knows dear. But if you come inside, it’s a lot warmer!” That voice. She knew that voice!! “GRAMMS!!” Bolting from the car and into her godmothers’ arms, nearly knocking her off her feet. “Heh heh, Welcome home sweetie. We’ve all missed you very much.” Lilith smiled. She liked hearing that. ‘Welcome Home’. Her grams was right. This WAS her home. “Not sounding rude or anything but can we go inside now?” They both chuckled and hurried into the toasty house.
